Mothers' Union

The Mothers' union is a Christian organisation with a specific interest in Family life, with 4 million members world-wide. At the Beeston Branch we currently have 47 members who meet every second Monday of each month at the Parish Centre. We welcome new members who will receive a warm welcome to join us for a 'taste' at any of our meetings. Especially welcome are new young members who have families to keep us up to modern ideas and trends.

We offer a varied programme and so far this year we've enjoyed a meal together to celebrate the New Year, the A.G.M. when new members of the committee were elected and we also had a Lent Lunch with meditations and music. Topics of speakers so far this year have been 'Police Chaplaincy' and 'The role of The Mothers' Union in prison work'. In May there is a pilgrimage to North Wales which will be led by the Diocesan Chaplain. Please see below for details of future events.

Our Diocesan Newsletter is distributed every month, and a free magazine 'Families Together giving us an insight to our overseas work is published three times a year. A Monthly Magazine to purchase is 'Families First' aimed specifically at young Parents.

Yours in Christ
